Emissions

More than 40 bag house filters are installed to minimize the dust, protecting the environment and the health of our people. The extremely high temperatures in the cement manufacturing process ensures that all organic pollutants are completely destroyed.

Carbon and SO²emissions are of the lowest in the world due to the energy efficient process and usage of alternative fuels. Extended cements such as Ohorongo’s CEM II B-LL 32.5N and CEM II B-V 42.5N further reduce the  CO²emissions per ton of cement.
