Ohorongo and Support ULM e.V Donates again!

Today marks yet another day where the Ohorongo Otavi Community Trust (OOCT), in collaboration with Support Ulm e. V., donated much needed medical equipment to the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS).

Positive feedback was also received from the office of the Prime Minister, Department of Disability Affairs, who also previously benefited from a donation of orthopedic beds, made possible by OOCT and Support e.V, earlier this year. “It is heartwarming to learn about the commitment and hard work of the representatives of Support Ulm e. V, to make the lives of the people easier and more comfortable,” said Deputy Minister of Disability Affairs Ms. Alexia Manombe-Ncube, in a letter to Professor Doctor Heinz Maier, from Support e.V.

These donations are made possible as a result of a technical development cooperation agreement, which makes provision for the supply of medical equipment to the Ministry of Health and Social Services, to complement the existing health care facilities in Namibia. In September this year, MoHSS agreed to extend this agreement with OOCT and Support Ulm e.V for another five years, enabling further donations, whether in cash or in kind, to the Ministry.

Support Ulm e. V is a non-profit organization based in Ulm, Germany, which has for the past 10 years, tirelessly directed its efforts to create platforms to raise funds and obtain donations toward assisting our government in delivering quality health care to Namibians.

“Providing adequate healthcare is not only the responsibility of our ministry, but we must all do our part. We are certainly going to continue supporting the health sector in the future, as this is in line with our objectives. We aim to see beds in all the clinics countrywide,” said Ohorongo Cement Managing Director Hans-Wilhelm Schütte.
