Mining

In the cement industry 99% of the mined material is used for the production of cement. This means that no waste material is mined, and therefore the quarry footprint is significantly smaller than in the mining industry. No waste stream is coming out of the process. A rehabilitation plan for the quarry is in place with topsoil stored separately. This ensures that the quarry can be completely rehabilitated leaving it intact for alternative uses for future generations.
