Following the successful Africa Day long weekend road safety awareness campaign, Ohorongo employees will again engage motorists at a road block on the B1 road between Otavi and Tsumeb today.
The awareness campaign will be conducted from 09h00 until 14h00.
“We will raise awareness on the adherence to the speed limit, wearing seatbelts and avoiding distraction. In spite of the continued emphasis on safe driving behavior, we still have a high amount of vehicle accidents in Namibia, several with tragic results. This campaign is aimed at supporting the various initiatives already launched to improve driving behaviour.” said Rudolf Coetzee,
General Administration Manager at Ohorongo.
The Ohorongo team will be working with the Otavi police, traffic officers and a representative of the MVA Fund staff during the campaign.
